Hello Julia,

Thank you for telling us about what you are doing with systems thinking in your elementary and middle school science classes.  I think it would be WONDERFUL if you would write a paper (or even just a couple page description) that the CLE could review for possible inclusion in their newsletter.  I think I speak for all of us in stating that we would like to have more detail about your work and what typical questions and misconceptions students had.

Thank you,

Diana Fisher

I am teaching system thinking through space science for upper elementary and middle school students. My program is online, so I collect a lot of data on students' questions, misconceptions, etc. Per my experience, teaching system thinking to this age group is quite possible, and kids enjoy it. I would be happy if this type of data would help any ST educational researcher.

Dear Colleagues,

A colleague of mine from Turkey has a friend who wants to pursue a PhD program outside of Turkey that has a focus on the use of Systems Thinking in Elementary Education.

Is there a university that has a PhD program with that focus?

I an unaware of any PhD or other special certificate programs that would allow this person to gain the formal education she desires.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Diana Fisher
