Subject: Re: CLE K-12 Discussion: Jay Forrester

May his soul rest in peace! It's uncanny: I was talking about him and System Dynamics to a former president of the University of Illinois only last night, himself an engineer. He, Forrester, "has done the state some service."

Peace,

Jay Forrester, the creator of system dynamics, instigator and long-time supporter of the system dynamics in K-12 education, died last night.  He was 98.  He was our teacher, mentor and friend.  His spirit and guidance will be missed.

An instructive summary of Jay and his life and contributions can be found on: http://www.systemdynamics.org/jwf/

I will send on more information when I know it.
