Hi all

The 5th (and final!) event in the 2011-12 MDOC Night Street League Orienteering series will take place in Lymm on Thursday 15th of March. The venue will be
The Crown Inn, Booths Hill Road, Lymm, WA13 0DJ (on the A56 through the village). The pub car park is not very large and on-street parking in the vicinity is limited, but there is a free car park in the village (about 400m from the pub).
Registration will open at around 6pm, with start times between 6.30 and 7.30 (we may have to move this back slightly if it is still daylight at 6.30!)

We are expecting to be able to order food at the bar, but would like to give the hosts some prior indication of numbers
- so please confirm your intention to attend and whether or not you would like a meal by FRIDAY 9th MARCH at the latest.
There has been a great atmosphere in the pub after all the previous 4 events, with plenty of opportunity for post-run analysis and general chat.
Thursday night at The Crown is also Quiz Night - (from 9.30 ish) if anyone is interested.

Results and comments from the previous events are available on the MDOC website (http://www.mdoc.org.uk). With the best 3 events (out of 5) to count in the final reckoning, there is still chance to improve your overall position in the final tables.

As the location of the event is very close to the DEE catchment area, and to add a little more spice to the evening, we have issued a NSL equivalent of the "Deeside Challenge" to our orienteering neighbours. Chairman Pete Owens has been busy recruiting for the event - so it would be great to have a good turnout of MDOC members to ensure victory! Pete has offered a similar challenge (a return leg?) at their Urban event in Helsby on Sunday 18th March - just 3 days later (details on DEE website http://www.deeside-orienteering-club.org.uk).

For any newcomers to Night Street O John's post-Marple comments still make essential reading. It is also a very good idea to check your answer sheet carefully AFTER punching the finish and BEFORE you hand it in for checking.
Please remember that suitable High-Visibility clothing is ESSENTIAL for runners - and a condition of our insurance.

There have been many favourable comments after each of the last 4 events. Come and give it a go - you might even enjoy it!

Cheers

Grahame Crawshaw (Co-ordinator)

PS Please pass this information on to anyone you know who may be interested in attending - All welcome (as long as they let me know!)
