Clinicians, Schools and the Community is a professional conference for therapists, counselors, psychologists, social workers, school administrators, school counselors, law enforcement ,juvenile officers, children’s division, and any professional who works with youth and families in their community.

Challenges in youth behaviors, mental health and other factors pose unique situations that require extra skills and interventions. Professionals who work with youth and families often need ideas on making that process more effective and positive. Brett resides in New Jersey and is a professional marriage and family therapist, a school administrator and counselor, an author of numerous books and professional articles, and an adjunct instructor and curriculum developer at Rutgers & Stockton Universities. He has won numerous awards for his work in education, inclusive education, counseling, character education, and human rights.

Buffie McConville

Opening Speaker, Buffie McConville, Ed.S.

Buffie is a beloved school administrator in rural Missouri who has also served as a school counselor. She is an adjunct professor for Curriculum Development and Assessment at the University of Central Missouri as well as supervises and chairs numerous committees and activites.  Buffie wrote the program she is will be presenting at this event.

The focus on her talk will be to convey an understanding the impact trauma has on executive function and learning, ways in which you can maximize learning and creative programs for schools to be more trauma sensitive.

Both of these dynamic professionals are extremely creative, intelligent and truly entertaining speakers.
