Subject: American Bankers Association Guide to working with Law Enforcement and Adult Protective Services

Hey Kimberly,

I was asked to pass along a resource to law enforcement, that I was hoping you could post on the CIT listserve, if possible.

The American Banker Association has created a guidebook for banks who wish to partner with Law Enforcement and Adult Protective Services (APS). The guidebook is great, but I would like to draw your attention to page 19 that references the federal case law that allows banks to release records to Law Enforcement/APS!

The full guidebook can be accessed via ABA webpage at
https://www.aba.com/-/media/archives/engagement/protecting-seniors-partnership-guide.pdf?rev=ed094fe747d74f399c29aa3c24c4404d

Additionally, I am attaching is a flyer that the American Banker Association has requested we spread the word about their Safe Banking for Seniors program. Anyone can connect with bankers in their community and request a free Safe Banking for Seniors presentation by going to http://www.aba.com/FinEdLink.

If you have any difficulty accessing the weblink or attachment, please contact me!
Hope you find this helpful!!
Kathryn
