Subject: First Responder Disability Awareness Training - March and April 2020



We need your help to get the word out about upcoming Train-the-Trainer (T-t-T) opportunities. If you have connections to first responders who are trainers in your communities that are able to travel to Joplin for the fire/EMS training, or Lee’s Summit for Law Enforcement and 911 telecommunications trainings, please share this information with them. These trainings are offered free of charge!

 

Attached, are the flyers for the upcoming trainings that are:

 

•             Firefighter/EMS Disability Awareness Training

Joplin Fire Department Training Center on March 10 – 11, 2020

•             Law Enforcement Disability Awareness Training

Lee’s Summit Police Department on April 27 – 28, 2020

•             911 Telecommunicator Disability Awareness Training

Lee’s Summit Police Department on April 29 – 30, 2020

 

There are also two offerings for Safety Awareness Trainings for individuals with disabilities, families and other caregivers. We would like your help to get this information out to families and individuals as well. Here are the offerings for these trainings:

 

•             Joplin Safety Awareness Training

Joplin Public Safety Training Center on March 12, 2020 (morning)

•             Lee’s Summit Safety Awareness Training

Lee’s Summit Police Department on April 29, 2020 (evening)
