Description automatically generatedDear Missouri CIT Councils,

The most common theme in a basic 40 hour CIT training is "Officer Safety."  With that theme in mind,  the Missouri Crisis Intervention Team (MO CIT) Working Committee highly recommends to our local CIT Councils, postponing any scheduled CIT trainings through the end of the month.  In following recommendations suggested by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services we will re-evaluate our State's COVID-19 situation and provide further guidance at that time.  In the law enforcement profession, we are exposed to any and all dangers every day, which we accept these risks.  However, to minimize the exposure risk to our first line responders in a training setting, please consider this request.  Be safe.

Should you decide to cancel any upcoming trainings, please make sure to notify Kimberly Hicks so she can update the training calendar and training schedule document located on the MO CIT website.

Thank you!
