Any ideas on how to get this info out?

DHSS has recently created this new guidance document for local jail administrators to assist them in making COVID response plans to aid in minimizing transmission within their facilities, and thereby also reduce the risk that they unknowingly transfer or release individuals who are COVID positive.  It was suggested to me that I should share this with you specifically in case you can benefit from it.  If you can share it with partners that may benefit we’d appreciate that too.

Director Stringer and Dr. Stanislaus,

I discussed recently on the COVID Fusion Cell morning meeting that we at DHSS have recently created this new guidance document for local jail administrators to assist them in making COVID response plans.  We intend this to aid in minimizing transmission within their facilities, and thereby also reduce the risk that they unknowingly transfer or release individuals who are COVID positive.  It was suggested to me that I should share this with you specifically in case you can benefit from it.  If you can share it with partners that may benefit we’d appreciate that too.  Feel free to reach out to us any time you have needs in this area.  Keith Henke and Cory Jorgensen are spearheading this and helping to address these issues when they come up with LPHAs and local jails, so you can use them as a resource too.  The guidance document is linked below.  Thank you!

Thank you also for you and your team’s participation in the ongoing COVID response work, and specifically the Testing Microcell that I am leading.  It has been a pleasure to work with so many good people from across state agencies.  I am thankful to have the insight and leadership of DMH in so many of our testing lines of effort!  If there is ever anything I can assist you with, please feel free to give me a call.

-Jonathan
