1. Our holiday gift to you—new partner assets Here
are some new graphics you can use to share Crisis Text Line in your community this holiday season and beyond. They can be posted on social media, added to out-of-office auto-responses, printed as inserts in care packages, or included in a community
newsletter.
You’ll need to make a copy of the document to add in your keyword. If you have any questions, or if you aren’t able to access Google Slides,
please let me know and I’d be happy to make a copy for you.
Thank you for all the ways you’ve helped people in your community find our resource this year!
2. We're seeing record-breaking volume
November 2020 had the highest volume in Crisis Text Line’s history. People in crisis started over 180,000 crisis conversations last month. This was 30,000 more than the number of conversations started in October, and 78,000 more than in September. Previously,
the highest monthly volume was logged in December 2018 at 172,192 total conversations.
In November we experienced four spikes where conversation volume shot up by more than 50% from one day to the next, thanks to organic posts on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram:
On November 6 at 8,410 conversations, up from 5,121 the previous day
On November 18 at 12,262 conversations, up from 5,790 the previous day
On November 24 at 7,340 conversations, up from 5,785 the previous day
On November 30 at 13,673 conversations, up from 5,488 the previous day
Our CC community, Supervisors, and the rest of the staff handled the increased volume well. In the last 28 days, we’ve had over 6,700 CCs log on, and 89% of texters said they were satisfied with
their conversation.
3. Texter Feels
The work we do can be tough, but hearing how we’ve improved someone’s day makes it all worth it. Here’s a piece of feedback that a texter left for us in the post-conversation survey and agreed to us sharing it out:
Thank you so much for taking the time to talk things through with me. It took me weeks to reach out, and I felt so much better after our conversation. You gave me some great tools to keep working on my own.
Thank you for your time, and for all you are doing!
Happy Holidays!

P.S. Every year my partner and I go out for pasta on Christmas Eve. This year, we’ll be cooking at home with our COVID Pod.
