I am interested in finding out how other libraries explain gaps in coverage of online titles to their users, especially where this a gap and then current year access with a one year rolling backfile.

We use EBSCO's AtoZ with LinkSource.  We have several titles where, for example, we have online access from 1997 to 2004, a gap from 2005 to (currently) 2008.  Our current coverage for the same title is the current year with a one year rolling backfile.

I can customize the coverage (1997 to 2004) and then add a note indicating the other coverage with rolling backfile, but I don't think LinkSource would be able to identify coverage for 2009-current within the note if the user is coming from an A&I database.  That's where I'm stuck.  I hope that all makes sense.

Has anyone solved this problem?

Thank you.
