You may want to check and make sure the “Automatic Update” option is not checked in the getFullTxt service menu for the targets with journals whose access dates are resetting.

Are you aware of the listserv for SFX?  The folks on that listserv are very helpful and can answer your questions.  Here is the website for you to subscribe to the listserv: http://www.lsoft.com/scripts/wl.exe?SL1=SFX-DISCUSS-L&H=LISTSERV.ND.EDU

I am not the ERM here, and do not work in SFX, but my understanding (from our ERM, who is currently out on maternity leave) is that the problem isn’t so much resetting the incorrect date, but  identifying what titles they have changed, and when.  Is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks,

Jeanette Skwor

Yes, it is possible to change the holdings statements in SFX to match your subscriptions.  Once local threshold is edited, the global threshold no longer applies.  Example, the global threshold holdings may be $obj->parsedDate('>=','2001','undef','33'), but once these holdings are copy/pasted/edited into the local threshold box, the local holdings supercede the global.

Re item 1 below - How are you “resetting” your holdings?  Are you doing it in a different manner than described above?

I have no personal experience with SFX, so this may or may not work.  We use Serials Solutions.  If the access dates listed for a journal are different from our subscription, we can just change them.  Is it possible to do this in SFX?

Not sure this qualifies as experience, but our access dates of journals get reset also, with no notice to us or seemingly, rhyme or reason.  Frustrating!

Dear All,

We have some questions about SFX. If anyone has any experience about below mentioned issues it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Oya Arus

1. When we update SFX monthly, access dates of journals have been resetting. After each update processes, we have to rearrange the access dates.
2. When we search a journal with subtitle in "Starts with option" (for instance "Journal of polymer science. Part A-1, Polymer chemistry"), we could not reach the journal.
3. We would like to make a change (design...etc) in our periodicals main page. Is it possible to do this kind of changes?
