I know this topic was just gone over but not all responses were archived.
So I ask again with a specific point:
We are interested in the topic of signature pages and the rationale behind excluding that page from digitization. How many institutions have actual policies /practices removing that information. Is it considered 'best practice' or is their only institution- by -institution practice? Have any national organizations weighed in on the issue? Was legal counsel involved in this decision?

Many personal pieces of information are posted to the internet. What makes someone's signature the ultimate security issue?
