Microforms dated older than 1980 are considered hazardous waste so if you withdraw them, make sure you use hazardous waste receptacles.

Subject: [SERIALST] Weeding microfiche and microfilm

Since the Microforms discussion lists seems to have ceased, does anyone have suggestions on where to look for what to do with old microforms that are being weeded?

We are weeding ones that are covered by JSTOR, so there would be no point in sending a list to backserv.

Thank you for any assistance. I will post summaries to the list if requested.
