Register now for the Great Lakes E-Summit, a regional conference focused on electronic resources

The "Summit"  is your opportunity to engage your peers and learn from the experts in an intimate discussion-friendly setting.  This year the conference's first day will focus on the topic of tools and techniques for decision making.  The day will lead off with a keynote by usage statistics guru, Oliver Pesch of EBSCO. Following the keynote will be programs featuring tools to facilitate selection decisions, techniques for gathering and analyzing usage statistics, an exercise on establishing a usage statistics gathering workflow, tips for working with selectors,  a system for disseminating usage statistics and engaging college deans to support buy-in in the decision making process and more. The day will conclude with an open forum where attendees will have an opportunity to share their experiences,  learn from others' stumbles and successes, and ask those perplexing usage statistics questions from one of the foremost leaders in the field.

Following in the tradition of our inaugural conference's hugely popular Panel of Regional Experts, day two of the Summit will feature an engaging and informative discussion with a Panel of Industry Experts from the publishing, vendor, consultant, and library sectors.  Please join us for what is sure to be a lively, informative, and motivating discussion with Bob Boissy, Manager of Account Development & Strategic Alliances at Springer, Katy Ginanni, Collection Development Librarian for Western Carolina University, Kittie Henderson, Director of Academic and Law Divisions at EBSCO, and Dan Tonkery, President and founder of Content Strategies.  Of note, the panel includes the current and two former presidents of the North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG), an independent organization that promotes communication and sharing of ideas among all members of the serials information chain.
