I was also going to suggest the CONSER Cataloging Manual and the CONSER Editing Guide.  The former is great for principles, the latter for nitty-gritty details.  And they’re both much easier reading than either AACR2 or RDA.  I taught myself serials cataloging using them in a library school practicum.

If your library has a subscription to Cataloger’s Desktop, the CONSER manuals are included, and are still available through the shutdown.

Dear colleagues,

Could you please share with me too?

I like to thank to all people who helped me with Collection Development Policies!

I also shared responses with colleagues who asked me.

Warm regards from Chile, Claudia

After reading the NASIG Core Competencies for Electronic Resource Librarians, I realized that I need to improving my knowledge of the cataloging process for serials.  I have a very basic understanding of cataloging from my graduate studies.  Does anyone have advice about books, webinars or other resources that would be helpful?
