Hi Diane,

Serials are difficult because you need to compare the full holdings. The only way I know of to do this is manually - by searching the Local Holdings Records (LHRs) in the Connexion browser. And not all holding libraries have Local Holdings Records. If there is a better/quicker/easier way I’d love to know about it!

Subject: [SERIALST] Checking collection against OCLC holdings

Good morning,

I currently have several projects that need checking of our ILS holdings against OCLC.   We need to determine how many libraries own the titles without a manual check of WorldCat.

Is there a simple way to do this?  Is OCLC collection evaluation service the only option?

We need to do this first on for serials so I thought I would start question here.

Thanks

Diane
