Hi,

We are in the process of doing the same thing.

In our ILS-we have III Sierra- there is a field in the order records for order format. Until recently, we had been using Print, Online or Print and Online where we had both. This didn't tell us whether or not we were paying extra for either. I have now changed the categories available to: print, online, print with free online, print with paid online, online with free print and online with paid print. Using my agent's website ( we use Ebsco) I am looking at each current subscription to determine if the "base" subscription is online or print and whether or not there is an additional up charge for adding either format. The order codes are then fixed to reflect what I am finding. This will allow us to pull lists by each category. The most surprising find is that for many subscriptions, the base format is online and the print is extra.

Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in tracking in our III ILS, journals that we purchase in print, but also pay an upcharge for online access.  I’d like to know if anyone else has a system for coding  journal subscription purchases that distinguishes specifically that you pay an extra charge to receive it in both print and online formats.

Thank you for your feedback,
