Ha! At least you got that from Ebsco. We didn't, because we were not due to be migrated over when, as I raged to our rep, "some overexcited intern flipped the wrong switch." Make sure you download and back up your holdings "just in case."

I was out of town last week and just found an email dated 7/31/15 in my junk email folder regarding changes to our EBSCO A-to-Z service.  I hope there will be more communication than just this…we would prefer to have something like this occur during break and not in the middle of a semester!

·        Over the next 2-3 months, EBSCO will be migrating your library from EBSCO A-to-Z and EBSCO LinkSource to Full Text Finder (FTF). In the course of the migration, you can expect EBSCO to copy your pre-existing holdings from EBSCO A-to-Z and add them to your Full Text Finder holdings, which will now be accessible via the Holdings Management tab in EBSCOadmin. If you have any questions after reviewing these holdings, or would like assistance modifying them, please contact Customer Support <mailto:support@ebsco.com?subject=A-to-Z%2FFull%20Text%20Finder%20Account%20Migration> .

Well, that’s not really the news I wanted to hear!  I have more info now, but am more confused.  Here you go:

We did not know about the migration.  We may have received an email, I don’t want to say EBSCO never sent one, but none of us in the library knew about it.  Ironically, my library coordinator received an email yesterday welcoming her to the Full Text Resolver, and she flagged it as something to check into.  That’s the first we knew of it, and had no idea it was going live today.  We came in this morning to our A-Z list gone, with a white page that’s blank.  I don’t know if this will work, but this is the link to what I see: http://resolver.ebscohost.com/openurl?site=ftf&db=edspub&type=44&plp=1&SToken=Aw8TDuNIbOOTs1CQ8Uaap_uOAcBTWiX_q-sOQQH5IIi3yXHIjYpyQEoyTWR45T3K0zSCt4Vvc2t5YHKiUDVBX5rhJ8kH4ze-pM8Kh9TsU9 UU1ZEWHta7JCZ_spkN3fiabYnC58R5zQ-UVTbZmDvUZOJ7JmaSyhB3Nc308iSGOq2mYfJkRTwiKYSwwQAtEGDZe0gzVkXnJYj1gCRvsaThdseblLXouc-SzT7arYIpongCb6OIJn-P8egJpxhhyZSE5ZTnx8emcZ9hBwTl7fS_VJUh

So if you are using A-Z, you might want to contact EBSCO and see if you are going to be migrated anytime soon.  On another note: we were told this morning that it will have to be password protected, so our A-Z list can’t be accessed off campus without a password.  That is a real pain.  There should be no reason why someone can’t at least see the list.  You still have to have passwords to access the full text of items.

Joslyn, that does not sound good.  I really hope that doesn’t happen to me as I have not prepared for the migration and don’t have a current list of our custom titles ready.

I am going to lunch and praying this morning was a dream.  This was just one of many things we walked into this morning.  Happy Friday!!
