The Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library seeks a librarian with demonstrated skills in innovation, collaboration and the technical background to manage the library’s serials collection of over 4000 electronic journal titles and to maximize the systems associated with their use within the Schools of Medicine & Health Sciences, Public Health, and Nursing.  The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, management, and utilization of the collection and will be a member of the Library Operations team.

Basic Qualifications: Masters in Library or Information Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited school or equivalent Master’s degree; 1-3 years’ experience working in a library setting; experience providing access to electronic serials through an Electronic Resources Management System; experience working with a link resolver;  experience analyzing collection, budgets, workflows, and issues related to the optimal operations of the department; knowledge of current trends in libraries; excellent oral (presentations, training workshops) and written (training materials, requested analyses, documentation) communication skills; working knowledge of all applicable software/systems; and ability to use Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheets for analysis.

The minimum salary for the position is $58,600; the University also provides a generous benefits
