Dear Obinna,

NASIG developed a set of core competencies for both print serials management and electronic resources that may be helpful to you. The competencies provide librarian educators with a basis for developing curriculum with a specialized focus and they complement ALA's Core Competencies for Librarianship. Both the print and electronic core competencies can be found at:

http://www.nasig.org/site_page.cfm?pk_association_webpage_menu=310&pk_association_webpage=1225

I served on the committees that developed the competencies and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sincerely,
Eugenia Beh
