ALCTS webinar: How to Get from Here to BIBFRAME

All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11am Pacific, noon Mountain, 1pm Central, and 2pm Eastern time.

 

Description:

Session 4 in the series, “From MARC to BIBFRAME” is focused on providing a high-altitude roadmap for a complete conversion process to BIBFRAME, as well as a discussion of various tools and methods that will assist with the transition.


Additional sessions in this series include:


Learning outcomes:

* Attendees will have an understanding of the roadmap to transition data to BIBFRAME.

* Attendees will be familiar with tools and methods that can be used in the transition process.


Who should attend? Technical service librarians and staff and library administrators

*This is an intermediate course intended for those with a basic understanding of bibliographic records and linked data


Presenter:

Carl Stahmer is Director of Digital Scholarship at the University of California Davis. He has worked in the area of linked data for many years, including participation in several research studies funded by major government and foundation funders (www.carlstahmer.com).
