The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an innovative, knowledgeable, and user-focused professional to serve in the position of Metadata Librarian. The Metadata Librarian will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to design and implement metadata, crosswalks, standards/policies, workflows, and tools to support access to collections of digitized and born-digital materials in multiple digital collection management systems, and to support long-term preservation of those materials deposited into the Carolina Digital Repository. The Metadata Librarian reports to the head of the Library Data Strategy & Services section of the E Resources & Serials Management department, and works closely with the Repository Librarian and staff throughout the Resource Description & Management and Library & Information Technology departments.
