Hello,

I’m responding to this thread to add some clarity to Taylor & Francis’ Rolling Wall policy.

The Rolling Wall applies to customers who subscribe on an individual title basis. With a current year journal subscription comes access to a 20 year backfile. This policy has been introduced from 2018, thus giving customers access to 1998 content with this year’s subscription.

Customers who have a negotiated sales deal which might take the form of the Taylor & Francis Library (SSH, S&T, Medical), a subject collection, or the Expert Collection, will continue to receive courtesy access to 1997.

Customers who subscribed to a given title in 1997, or since 1997, as in the case that Judith mentions below, will continue to receive access to that volume year because our subscriptions policy includes perpetual access for the years in which a customer subscribed.

If you are unclear about what your access should be, please contact support@tandfonline.com and our team will be delighted to help.

With best wishes,

Jennifer McMillan

Director of Marketing, Content & Communications

I think they are negotiating different things with different customers.  We were offered coverage back to 1997 for one journal becausè we had a print subscription for many years including the years we would be losing.

Sorry to start a new thread on this. I heard a rumor that a representative for T&F confirmed that they will now allow subscribers to individual titles to retain access back to 1997 for those titles – provided they retain their level of spend over several years. Has anyone else heard anything like this?
