Sarah,

With help from our East Asian acquisitions specialist, here are some of the vendors we primarily use at KU:

China International Book Trading Co. (China)

Lexis Book Co. Ltd. (Taiwan)

Japan Publications Trading Co.  (Japanese materials)

Geibundo (Art)

The contact details for most of these (and others) are listed on this handy ALCTS website of international bookdealers: http://www.ala.org/CFApps/bookdealers/results.cfm?cc=2   I’d be happy to put you in touch with our current contact for these if this source is out of date or unavaialbe.

Subject: [SERIALST] Asian periodicals vendor?

My public library primarily uses EBSCO for our print serials subscriptions. We have a number of titles in Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Tamil), or in English but marketed to an Asian audience. As expected, these titles are quite expensive.

Are there any vendors anyone could recommend that specialize in these types of titles, that may be able to offer a more competitive price?

Thanks,

Sarah
