Some time ago there was discussion on this list about saving microfilm
space by splicing several years of a title together and storing them on
a
single reel, which I thought was a splendid idea.  This idea saves space
but not money so much, as there is labor cost involved in the splicing
and
relabeling of boxes.  Some libraries offered good hints on how to go
about
this, which I assume would be available in the archives.
