Cyndie:

Sorry I have not looked at the other response before so some of what I say
here may already have been raised. One of the responses prompted me to put
my 2 cents in.

My first question would be to ask What system do you have. There is
usually some listserve where intercommunication between users of your
system discuss potential problems and solutions. I assume you have
already done that and come up empty.

Second, have you or someone knowledgeable there, contacted the vendor to
see how your institutional parameters for your 'personalized version' are
set up and what work-arounds there might be.

(i.e.) Is it possible to manually flag the 7xx fields not to create a
link( not to recreate them at an upgrade or reload & have to do it all
over again) OR (i.e.) Is it possible to manually create the 7xx fields.
Then you could make ONLY the links you want. (TIME/WORK INTENSIVE) OR
(i.e.) How long have you had your system? Some of the literature suggests
that your system should be re-evaluated periodically to determine which if
other systems have improved enough or if a new system has been introduced
that better serves your needs.(DRASTIC)

Well, there is my 2 cents worth.

I also would hesitate before deleting 780's and 785's and then in the
future undo what was done.
