Hi Sarah,

We are a public library system with a central library and 22 branches.
This library also uses EBSCO. For over twenty years all subscriptions
have been ordered by the serials department at Central Library but the
issues for the branches are sent to each branch with their exact name and
address on them as you are thinking about doing. This has worked quite
well for us. Each branch keeps a check-in record for their titles
received and must report to the serials department at Central library if
an issue has not been received and we process the claim. We have recently
converted to the Innovative System and we currently check-in our issues
received at the Central Library but plan to explore the possibilty of each
branch using the Innovative check-in system at some time in the future but
we are simply not at that point yet.

I might add that it is very important to have good communication with the
branches. Because of the turn over of employees who handle periodical
check-in at the branches we annually remind them to report to us their
issues not received on a timely basis, to report problems with expiration
dates, to mark the claim checker cards and send them in to us so we will
know whether or not to continue claiming, etc.

Of course those of us who work with periodical subscriptions will always
have problems to straighten out with subscription services but you may
find shipping the issues directly to the branches causes you less
headaches.

Hope this helps.
