Meeting Announcement: ALA Annual Conference

We are pleased to announce that Project MUSE will once again host a
Users
Group Breakfast Meeting at the upcoming ALA Annual Conference in
Chicago,
IL. Current and prospective subscribers to our database of online
scholarly
journals are welcome to attend. Details are as follows:

Project MUSE Users Group Breakfast Meeting
Date: Saturday, July 8, 2000
Time: 8:00 am - 10:00 am (Program begins at 8:15)
Location: Americas West room, Hotel InterContinental

Announcements will be made about new publisher partners and journal
titles
joining the Project for the 2001 subscription term, and we hope to
provide
preliminary information on pricing and package options for next year. We
will also provide updates on our new servers and search engine, and
discuss
metadata headers and partnerships with third party indexing/abstracting
services.  Evan Reader, Director of Systemwide Electronic Information
Resources for the California State University, Chancellor's Office, will
be
our featured guest speaker.  Ample time is allotted for questions and
discussion.  A light breakfast will be available.

To assist with arrangements for the meeting, those planning to attend
are
asked to please respond via email to melanie@jhupress.jhu.edu, being
sure
to indicate the number of guests expected.  Libraries are welcome to
send
more than one representative to the meeting!

Project MUSE will also have an exhibit booth at the Annual conference,
#2338. Project MUSE is a partnership of numerous not-for-profit
scholarly
publishers, offering full text access via institutional subscription to
over 100 essential journals in the humanities, the social sciences and
the
