Plays and players applause has ceased at an unknown date (all four digits
unknown!) and been continued by Plays and players (London, England : 2000).

Our holdings have a gap between nos. 530 (Feb. 1999) and 534 (Mar. 2000),
and the note on our record claims that these issues (531-533) are
unavailable. Somewhere in there, the title change occurred. We have 534,
and 535 (fall 2000).

Stella --

Plays and Players doesn't get any applause from me. This is a title which
has contributed to making many of us on this list crazy for quite some time
now. We receive most (but not all) issues, it keeps changing its name, and
now it has changed frequency. The last two issues I received were no.534
(March 2000) in April 2000, and no.535 (Autumn 2000) in January 2001.
Because it dropped "Applause" from the title, it has a new OCLC record,
#43824476: Plays and Players (London, England: 2000), effective with that
March 2000 issue. No, I don't have any idea what the new publication
pattern is.

This one is such a nuisance that the theatre department head agrees that
it's not worth the expense and trouble, so we're cancelling it after 2001.
