 Joe We switched to Ebsco from Faxon about 15 years ago and never looked
back.  We've been very happy with them.  They assign a customer service
to you who gets to know you and your problems.  They are most helpful.

We have been on RFP with Blackwell's (now
Swets/Blackwell's) for approximately 5 years. Through the
the Blackwell's years we have experienced many personnel
changes from the very top to the bottom. These seem to
happen over night and  with absolutely no previous
notification. You find out only when you call with an
inquiry. No library visits on a regular basis. We have not
received the what I would consider good service,
especially in resolving claims, without a tooth and nail
battle a good part of the way.

For about the last 1 l/2 years things have improved,
however I wonder if that has anything to do with the Swets
merger that was being negotiated.

I must also add in all fairness that previously our
subscriptions were handled by Majors when they were in the
subscription business and they were wonderful and maybe I
was just expecting too much. Majors still handles our
continuations and with top notch customer service.
