Here at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, we do let faculty, staff
and graduate assistants working for
faculty or staff check out serials for a period of about 2 hours.
We have them fill out a journal circulation
card that asks for name, department, extension, status.
Then there is the actual journal information like,
title, volume, issue number and year. We keep the cards in a box
until the items are returned, then pull the
card. This way once a month I can check and see which titles have not yet
been returned and can contact
the person and ask for their return. Hope this helps, and if you
have any other questions do not hesitate to call me.

We allow faculty to check out serials for 24 hours. We also have
departments fill out a form for their graduate assistants to check out
serials for 24 hours. If the serials are not returned, the department is
responsible for the cost.

We do not allow other students or outsiders to check out serials.
