There have been many times I've sorted through the waste basket when I've discovered a problem with the journal in hand that wasn't immediately apparent when I took off the wrapping. Might not work for everyone. This has saved us many times when we realized we needed information from a label or discovered that a significant change was being announced on an insert or attachment that didn't look important at first. I'd be interested in hearing from other serials staff as to how they manage this problem (opportunity?).
