Hello, colleagues! I just saw the announcement from EBSCO that Sage Publications is pulling all of their journals' full text from all aggregate databases. They are a major academic publisher and this will be quite a blow. Across the databases we subscribe to, it will be about 200 titles lost, others of you may lose far more. According to EBSCO, it is not just EBSCO losing this content, but all aggregate vendors. Having just read a recent article about how a librarian in NJ saved Michael Moore's latest book from "pulping" by gettting hundreds of librarians to contact the publisher (Harper Collins) about it gave me a sense of our power if we act together to express our concerns. Sage even more than H-C must be responsive to us - we are their largest customer base. Therefore I'm asking all of you who will be adversely affected by this to contact Sage and express your concerns. You can do this quite easily. Go to their web site, http://www.sagepub.co.uk/ <http://www.sagepub.co.uk/> and click on Services & Support in the left-side navigation bar, then click on Comments, and fill out the online suggestions/praise/problem form.
