***Well, I am working with viable (subscriptions that have been paid &
ordered), non-viable (those for which the $$$ mysteriously disappeared)
and graced issues.

***I claim the viable as usual, and have been claiming the graced issues
through Faxon also; so far they are dealing with both admirably.

***The others, the non-viable problems, I deal with in various ways.
For one thing, I keep track of the titles that have ceased coming, and
at this point, am setting an expected-on date of Dec. 1 for them. I
figure by then I will want to see that we have ordered what we need to &
some may actually begin at that point. Those for which it is too soon
to say have actually ceased, I set an expected-on date by which I will
know that; right now I am using April 15 and May 1. Previously I used
March 15 and will have a bundle to go through at that point.

***I've also noted which are on our early renewal list, and expiration
dates to alert us for renewal notices.

Hello,
The Library Network was a recent customer of Faxon. Upon hearing rumors
of trouble at Faxon, The Library Network submitted subscription renewals
to Faxon, but did not send payment for them. Due to the problems that
cropped up at Faxon, many titles for 2003 are being claimed by our
system. Since we did not submit payment for these titles, these claims
shouldn't be submitted.

Is anyone else incurring a similar situation? If so, how are you
handling these claims?

Any suggestions on how to best handle the claims for these items would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brigette
