Final Call for Survey Responses:

Dear Colleagues:

If you have not yet responded to our initial request to take part in a
serials survey please see below. To those of you who have responded, we
thank you for taking the time to help us with our research. The survey
will be available until January 31, 2004. The online survey address
link is provided below.

Colleagues,

We request your assistance with our future research by responding to
the attached linked survey at
http://www.hofstra.edu/hofstrasurvey/survey/215351/default.cfm .

The survey is brief, containing 22 questions and should take 15
minutes to complete. Please select the most appropriate responses based
on your library and your experience. All the responses are confidential
and will not be distributed to the public.

This brief questionnaire is designed for professional serial
librarians to assess their tools they create or select to assist with
the management of print and electronic serial subscription information.

Due to the dramatic changes with in the profession and publishing
industry, serials librarians have been required to seek further
training or assistance from Information Technology department to help
develop management tools. These tools are necessary components to
enable libraries to track print and electronic subscriptions within an
integrated environment. Based on the results of this survey, we will
publish an article about serials librarians, their software
preferences and management tool uses.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation in this endeavor.

Sandhya Srivastava and Paolina Taglienti
