We try to keep track of what we think may be our online subscriptions, but the boundaries are extremely nebulous. There are titles that we subscribe to individually, there are those that we receive as components of journal packages (Project MUSE) or consortial subscriptions (Kluwer Online), there are "free" journals that we can easily harvest via our Serials Solutions MARC record service (HighWire Press free journals), and there are those to which some publishers provide access via aggregations (such as Karger titles in EBSCOhost's Academic Search Premier). Coming up with a meaningful figure is next to impossible. We keep track of the number of Serials Solutions MARC records in our catalog, and that's about it. When a reporting agency asks for something more finely tuned, we make an educated guess. We add the duplicate access through different sources, as they can come on or go away so quickly, and coverage dates vary, I do not want to chance dropping a title off, having forgotten that it is still accessible through another source.
