I had basically the same response.  I also thought, "In these times of
flat or shrinking budgets, who has a materials budget so large that they
will lose it if they don't spend it?"

The pitch gave me the impression of one of these 'reality' TV shows
that I have seen advertised.  If that is reality, fantasy has to be
better.
