Re: Serial check in software/programs Regina McEneaney 11 Jan 2005 14:29 UTC

I use a serial program from EOS International. It's a complete library
automation system but we bought only the Serials module in 1991. I
forget the initial cost but there is about $600 a year maintenance fee
for Tech support and quarterly updates. I think it is a great program.
We have around 1000 titles, it keeps track of print and microfilm
subscriptions, claims, notes, routing slips, etc. My representative is:

Subject: [SERIALST] Serial check in software/programs

I have recently joined this list and I have not found what I am looking
for in any recent discussions. I work in a small medical library (less
than 250 subscriptions) and we are looking into purchasing a program for
checking in periodicals. Could anyone please recommend an inexpensive
program (preferably under $1000)? Also I would like to know the pros
and cons of the program/software your library is using. Please feel
free to contact me on or off the list. Thank you in advance for your
