Re: thermal transfer printer Vernell Ward 30 Mar 2005 20:03 UTC

We print barcodes and labels with a thermal printer. I love my little
printer, but the printing fades with exposure to ultraviolet light. We
purchased special uv label covers to help with the problem. The label
covers do extend the time that the labels will last, but sunlight and
flourescent light do cause them to fade rather quickly. (A few months).
Your experience may be different.

We use ours for barcodes, and temporary spine labels.

We are in the process of migrating to a new ILS. It is suggested that
we
purchase a thermal transfer printer to print our spine labels. Does
anyone have any experience with thermal transfer printers?

Thanks,
