There is a tape - called film-splicing tape - that is especially made for
the job. It comes in 35mm width on precut, peel-away backing - much like
band-aids. It is strong, durable, will not yellow or peel, and is
practically invisible on the joined film. When I worked with microfilm, we
used it a lot.

Subject: [SERIALST] Microfilm Mending

Hello all,

A quick question to those of you out in Serial Land. What type of tape do
you use to mend torn microfilm? Do you use some type of special tape made
just for mending microfilm or just plain invisible tape? Thanks.

Theresa
