We had the same question, and got an answer from Robert Mollison at
ProQuest (734-761-4700, ext 2634). ProQuest has approved a tape for
splicing microfilm:
Neumade 16mm clear(#16CLNTP)(use the tape on both sides of the film for
better protection).

Subject: [SERIALST] Microfilm Mending

Hello all,

A quick question to those of you out in Serial Land. What type of tape
do you use to mend torn microfilm? Do you use some type of special tape
made just for mending microfilm or just plain invisible tape? Thanks.

Theresa
