Cambridge University Press Journals are now included in the AGORA and
HINARI initiatives

In keeping with our commitments to the dissemination of knowledge
worldwide and to the nurturing of research institutions in developing
countries, Cambridge University Press is pleased to announce that our
journals are now included in the AGORA and HINARI programmes to bring
online academic content to the developing world.

Geoff Nuttall, Editorial Director for Cambridge University Press Journals,
said: “We are very pleased to be a part of these initiatives. For
generations Cambridge University Press has been active in spreading
knowledge to these regions of the world. AGORA and HINARI, being
successful operations of high integrity, will become an invaluable
component of our ongoing work in developing countries.”

Over 50 leading Cambridge research journals in agriculture, bioscience,
social science, medicine, healthcare and related disciplines are now
available to over 2,000 institutions throughout the developing world.
These titles are free of charge through these schemes:

-AGORA (Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture) is a joint
initiative between the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the
United Nations and leading publishers and development organisations, to
provide online research publications in agriculture to developing
countries.

-HINARI (Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative) is a joint
initiative between the World Health Organisation (WHO) of the United
Nations and leading publishers and development organisations, to provide
online research publications in healthcare to developing countries.

Cambridge University Press is also committed to providing journal
collections to the developing world through the Electronic Information for
Libraries (eIFL) initiative. 184 Cambridge University Press Journals are
available to developing countries through the eIFL Foundation.
