The January 2006 issue of NISO Newsline has an article, "ISSN Revision
Draft at Ballot," about the revised version of the ISSN standard (ISO
3297) that is currently being balloted. Here is a link to the article:

With the changes that recently took place at NISO headquarters, NISO's
deadline for comments does not seem to have been widely publicized and the
above-cited article was delayed from publication so the deadline for
comments (Jan. 16) is now close.

If your organization is a NISO voting member, please urge them to review
the draft and vote on it.  If there are any questions I can answer, please
direct them to me or to any member of the ISO Working Group.
