Re: CFR's: good third party sources? van Sickle, Jennifer 13 Mar 2006 15:13 UTC

Have you thought about making this a standing order with a book dealer?
When I worked in a biopharmaceutical library, we had a standing order
with Research Books in Madison, CT. They are now called Total
Information Inc.

http://www.totalinformation.com/

I have not worked with them since 1998, but they were a very efficient
and helpful operation at that time.

I'm also wondering if the GPO is backlogged, would that not affect the
overall delivery to all customers?

Hope this helps!

Subject: [SERIALST] CFR's: good third party sources?

Hello All,

Our serials vendor has reported that the GPO has a several-week backlog
on Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) orders. I was wondering if any of
you can recommend any third-party vendors of the CFR that are quick and
efficient (even if they are a bit more expensive than the GPO).

If you reply off-list, I will summarize for the list.
