Re: Nature issue Skwor, Jeanette 21 Jul 2006 13:33 UTC

Maybe it's time for someone from NPG to speak up if they're lurking.

I also will.

As I said earlier, I emailed Mary directly. I had thought our
experience with this title/publisher might be unique; they'd been so
dependable and troublefree for years. Cofrin Library had mega-issues
with them with our 2005 subscription, and again this year. Both times
involved several months worth of issues and I cannot even tell you how
many claims and reclaims. We were also told our addressing was the
problem, that issues had been sent, that issues were out of print,
pretty much every excuse in the book.

The only advice I can give is to be persistent and to keep good
notes/records. Having a good vendor also helps; I must give kudos to
ours - Harrassowitz. They not only put up with my haranging, but
followed through to Nature. We did finally get all of our issues and at
the moment, (she says with her fingers crossed) our subs in running
smoothly.

Good luck to all!

We have also been unsuccessful in our claiming attemps, not only with
this particular issue, but all the issues for 2006 up through the May 18
issue.
At one point we were told the publisher had a bad address. We've been
told some of the issues have been sent, but we still haven't received
them. We have been receiving current issues, however.
