When we were deciding how much to charge for color copies, we called
Kinko's and asked them what they charged and then charged half that
price. I think it is important to get the message across that you are
just covering the cost of toner and not trying to make any money.

Wow.  That should produce marches on the library.  What do you charge
for print copies from the web, from ejournals, etc.?  I can't imagine
the justification for it, especially since places like Kinkos make a
profit at less than a dime.  If you consider this a moneymaker, I'll
bet it backfires.
