Re: Student Publications Ian Woodward 31 Jan 2007 19:39 UTC

We collect publications put out by our own student body but to my
knowledge have never added anything from any other student body bar some
issues from one publication from Oberlin and one from Lake Forest issued
more than a generation ago. I doubt that my supervisor would be
interested in such a thing. I imagine there would be more interest
abroad if the student publications in question had as their editorial
mission discussion of the fads and shticks of this age, but who knows?

Subject: [SERIALST] Student Publications

Hello Everyone,

We were just approached by a student who was wondering what the best way

to get her student publication disbursed among other libraries,
specifically college libraries was. In the past, her group had sent out
the publication to numerous libraries, but fears that it went unnoticed
by most. We began to wonder how others approached student publications,
whether they were interested in adding them to their collections, and if

so, the best way for the students to get their publication noticed.

Thanks for any input!
