We have the same kinds of problems with EBSCO as you have had with
Swets. It seems to me like both are completely reliant on you being the
one to chase and push them every step of the way. I have lost count of
how many different customer service reps I have had with EBSCO in Sydney
since I started this job a little over 4 years ago.

Thanks

Subject: [SERIALST] Experience using Swets for UK publications

Dear Serialist,

When Blackwells stopped handling serials some years ago, we transferred
our UK serial titles to Swets. Despite some hiccups in the beginning as
Swets set up their Melbourne, Australia office, Swets did a pretty good
job.
However there have been considerable changes in both organisation and
personnel at Swets in the past 12 months and consequently we have major
supply and customer service problems.

Supply is particularly poor. Despite repeated claims by email and
telephone, missing issues are rarely supplied. The number of titles with
missing issues just keeps growing.

I would welcome some feedback on how other libraries find Swets and also
some comments on alternate good suppliers for UK material.

Looking forward to comments
Diana
