Re: Patent Care numbering Rais, Shirley (LLU) 29 May 2007 00:15 UTC

I'm also throwing in the towel, but just the opposite! I'm ignoring the
changes for now and just checking them in according to the date and
vol/no on the piece, with an abbreviation in the note field as to the
"subtitle":

Jan 2007 ARRIVED on 02-05-07 : Neur&Psych.
Feb 2007 ARRIVED on 03-06-07 41:1 Endoc&Card
Feb 2007 ARRIVED on 03-06-07 41:Supp. Dry skin
Mar 2007 ARRIVED on 04-04-07 41:2 Neur&Psych.
Apr 2007 ARRIVED on 04-24-07 41:2 Endoc&Card
Apr 2007 ARRIVED on 04-26-07 41:1 Dermatology
Apr 2007 ARRIVED on 04-26-07 41:1 women's health
May 2007 EXPECTED on 05-26-07 :

I don't think they have figured out what they are doing, so I'm going to
wait & see! Binding at the end of the year will be interesting!

Shelley,

Here at FIU we threw in the towel and went ahead and cataloged each
one separately. Our serials people wanted it that way for ease of
checking in. The records are in OCLC. However, we're not a CONSER
library, so they're not authenticated or anything like that, so I don't
expect anyone else to follow our lead.
