Re: CD-Roms management R Davis 15 May 2007 17:56 UTC

We just recently ran into this issue with a new subscription, Music Tech.
We check in the issue as usual but create an item record with a barcode for
both the CD-ROM and issue. The issue and CD-ROM are checked out to a
faculty member who brings it back after reviewing. We plan to bind the
issues just as we do with any journal but the CD-ROMs will be stored in
cabinets behind the Circ desk. They may be moved in the future to media
cabinets elsewhere in the library, but that decision hasn't been made yet.
Wherever they wind up we will put a note in the journal record as to where
the accompanying CD-ROM is housed.
